Had non running truck towed to westside as they had soonest availability to diagnose and fix problem. Their diagnosis was a quote for replacing a fuel pump, also in the quote was charge for sending unit as they told me this 97 c1500 had separate sending unit. The quote was for over $1300, and if they didn’t need to replace fuel lines it would be $1200. Asked them where they were getting their parts and why they were so expensive, they told me autozone. I checked parts price at autozone and it was 1/3 the price they quoted me, along with the fact the sending unit and fuel pump were sold as a pair not two separate parts. Needless to say, after researching, i had the truck towed to Scotts automotive. Including the tow charge and labor, i had a new fuel pump, and fuel filter replaced for $450. I would recommend checking prices on parts westside is buying(from autozone) before letting them charge you 3x actual price of parts. Will never take another vehicle here! This was my experience with westside auto, check your quotes before allowing them to triple charge you for parts! Special thanks to Dustin at Scotts automotive for providing quality service at a fair price.
